Don't let the name fool you... Extreme Flashback Camp will NOT involve actual time travel... but it might feel like it! (Here at Handwork House the word 'Extreme' typically refers to the full day aspect of camp- we will get a chance to really delve into some cool stuff together!) We WILL be getting into all the groovy crafts of the 1970's... tie dyeing, rug hooking, beading, pet rocks and more, along with daily snack recipes of the 70's! We will listen to the music of 1970's while we craft and learn a little bit about an interesting decade in history.
We will learn proper safety and techniques for using traditional handtools like hammers, screw drivers, drills and saws to build several simple projects. Of course we will incorporate some art as we paint and finish our pieces to perfection.
Each FULL DAY Camp includes two vegan snacks and all materials!

11:00 am- Baking/ Cooking
12:00 pm-Lunch and Park (weather permitting-walk to Linear Park)
1:00 pm- Crafts, crafts and more crafts
3:00 pm- Snack (taste our delicious cooking)
4:00 pm- Pick up
Allergy Warning: Handwork House is also home to five loveable rescue cats.
Handwork House Summer Camps offer a unique experience for children to learn useful skills they can build on for the rest of their lives. We keep our camp sizes small which allows for more in-depth learning. Our workshop is located in Lancaster's Chestnut Hill neighborhood in a charming, colorful and cozy space that offers endless opportunities for creativity.
About the staff: Sarah Ulrich brings 20 years of fiber art experience and a passion for education and conservation to each lesson. A teen camp assistant will also be available to assist during larger camp sessions.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund (100%) available with cancellation up 30 days from the start date of your camp. A partial refund (75%) in the form of camp/class credit is available with cancellation up to fourteen days from camp start date. A partial refund (50%) in the form of class/camp credit is available with cancellation seven or less days prior to camp start date. Exchanging camps is possible depending on availability.
